I saw my first ballet. The NYC Ballet performed Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, choreographed by George Balanchine.

I saw my first opera at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. Verdi’s Aida.

The Blue Ribbon (.gif) image was added to the widgets as a symbol of the campaign for electronic freedom of speech and the fight against internet censorship. Some people on campus, who as Americans should know better about freedom of expression better, have been asking me to take some stuff down from my blog.

Just because I am a foreigner or just because I am gay (and don’t share your world view) doesn’t mean I can’t have a voice. The Queer community needs as many voices as possible. No backing down!
